How much does a speed boat from Gateway to Mandwa cost?
Speed boats are priced per trip, not per person. The 8-seater Zamia and 12-seater Juveria each have a fixed trip rate that varies by day of the week and season. Send an inquiry for a same-day quote with no obligation.
How long does the Gateway to Mandwa speed boat take?
Around 18 minutes one way in normal sea conditions — compared to 2.5–3 hours by road via Panvel. The Gateway to Elephanta speed boat ride is around 25 minutes one way.
Can I book a one-way speed boat or do I need return?
Both are available. Many guests book a one-way speed boat to Mandwa for the morning and take a different boat back — we can plan either.
Is the speed boat ride safe for children and elderly?
Yes. Children's life jackets are provided, the skipper can adjust speed for comfort, and our boats are Coast Guard licensed. For very elderly guests we usually recommend the ferry — it's more stable.
What is the minimum and maximum group size?
You can book a speed boat for just 2 people — pricing is per trip, so smaller groups can ride too. Maximum is 8 on the Zamia and 12 on the Juveria. Larger groups can hire both boats together.
Do you run speed boats during the monsoon?
Operations are limited from June to August depending on sea conditions and Port restrictions. Outside monsoon, we run year-round.
